CHP Consultants and
CHP Dosimetry are committed to a sustainable future. This means
we focus our attention on renewable sources of materials and energy.
CHP Consultants provides second hand instrumentation to the research and nuclear
industry. The resources and “Carbon Footprint” of these items has already
made its mark on the earth. We routinely buy and maintain instruments which are
typically much more robust than newer models. We make them available to
our clients at significantly reduced prices, both in funds, and in carbon
footprint. You can see a collection of links at the bottom of this page that we
have collected
and been inspired from over the years.
We have also
strategically placed our office very close to where we live, which allows us to
walk to work each day. Our office is small and every one of its 780 square feet
is utilized to its capacity. When required, we have excess warehouse space
nearby for the larger items. Every aspect of how we do things relates back to
what people
used to call common sense. What this really does is reduce our overhead.
Our reduced overhead
allows us to market our instruments and services at very affordable rates. We
are not funding any ivory towers here, and in fact they are usually
a distraction. What this allows us to do is focus our attention on our
clients. Another thing we have done to reduce our impact on the planet is
that we
have made
the “Green
Power Switch”. This means that all of our electricity is generated using
renewable sources. Green power costs a bit more money, but our children’s future
is well worth it.
