NE Technologies DP6BD — Large-Area Alpha/Beta/Gamma Dual Phosphor Scintillation Probe

The NE Technologies DP6BD is the standard MHV-connector variant of the industry-proven DP6 series large-area dual phosphor scintillation probe, designed and manufactured by NE Technologies Ltd. (UK) before the product line was acquired by Thermo Electron Corporation. The DP6 series established itself as a workhorse of health physics programs in nuclear power, research, and radiological laboratory environments worldwide.

The DP6BD features a 100 cm² rectangular detection window with standard window frame and protective grille, offering excellent sensitivity and reliability for routine contamination surveys of personnel, tools, equipment, and work surfaces.

How the BD Differs from the DD: The DP6BD uses a standard window frame, while the DP6DD features an extra-reinforced window frame for added durability in harsh field environments. Both probes share identical detection efficiencies and are otherwise functionally equivalent.
