Originally designed by NE Technologies and carried forward through Thermo Electron Corporation, the DP6DD is a field-proven, large-area alpha/beta scintillation probe widely used in nuclear power facilities, radiological laboratories, and health physics programs worldwide.

The DP6DD features a dual phosphor ZnS/BC400 scintillation detector housed in a durable light alloy body with an extra-reinforced window frame — the defining feature of the "DD" variant — making it especially well-suited for demanding field environments where probe durability is critical.
